Before Black Saturday For over twenty two years we have rescued, cared for and loved our beautiful wildlife. This was a choice of lifestyle and, once made, for us at least, was impossible to change. We have deliberately chosen to depict Wildhaven, both before and after the February 7, 2009 bushfire, by the way of our photographs rather than by lengthy written descriptions. These are not sad photos - though all of the wildlife appearing in the before images perished on that fateful day - they are a reminder to us and all those who care for our fellow creatures that there is a wonderful, fulfilling relationship just waiting to happen between our wildlife and ourselves, if we are only willing to open our eyes and our hearts. We invite you to share our world through these images and see for yourself the delights, the tragedy and the rebirth of Wildhaven.
